"2023 MAIC 2nd Microfluidics Application and Innovation Summit" was successfully held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province

On  April  10,  the  "2023 MAIC  2nd  Microfluidics  Application and Innovation Summit Forum" was successfully held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province, hosted by the  Organization Department (talent office) of the CPC Tongxiang Municipal Committee, Tongxiang Science and Technology Association and Wuzhen North American Innovation Center, and organized by Mobidrop Biotechnology (Zhejiang) Co. Leaders of relevant government departments, authoritative industry experts and enterprise representatives  gathered together to share the latest achievements in microfluidics, discuss technology transformation and interpret industry development, bringing a rich feast of ideas to all participants.



During this forum, David Weitz, chief scientist of Mobidrop Biologics, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and professor of Harvard University, hosted an inspection

visit to the headquarters building of Mobidrop Biologics completed in 2022, accompanied by Dr. Roy Pei, Chairman and General Manager of Mobidrop Biologics, Dr. Wenshan Zheng , CTO, and Dr.

 

Han Liu, COO. Professor David Weitz's trip was the first time to Chinese mainland for academic exchange after the three-year of Covid-19 pandemic ended.

 


At the welcome ceremony, Dr. Roy Pei, Founder, Chairman and General Manager of  Mobidrop Biologics, expressed his warm welcome to David Weitz, Chief Scientist of Mobidrop Biologics, and his appreciation to the leaders from Jiaxing, Tongxiang and  Wuzhen at all levels and the big names from academia and industry for coming. David Weitz, the chief scientist of Mobidrop Bio, expressed his shock at the development of Mobidrop Bio and wished Mobidrop Bio better and better.

In the academic report session of this forum, Prof. Huanan Wang from Dalian University of Technology made a report on "Chitosan-based bioplastics with enhanced

strength and toughness through insect cuticle-mimicking, bioengineered protein- induced supramolecular interactions" to the leaders and experts attending the    conference.

 

 

Prof. Yiwei Li from Huazhong University of Science and Technology presented "A universal approach for multiplex single cell sequencing", also Shared a general method for single-cell sequencing mixed-sample experiments by using "new broad-spectrum tags" to label cells.

 

 

Dr. Wenshan Zheng, CTO of Mobidrop, shared the report "MobiNova, High-throughput single-cell analysis platforms", introducing MobiNova's high- throughput single-cell multi-omics solution, which is based on the latest droplet microfluidic single-cell. The technology can realize cross-platform, multi-species single-cell multi-omics sequencing.

Microfluidics and Single Cell Sequencing Technology for Life Science Development".
